Mother's day

I passed apartment inspection (though my mom asked what the deal was when she came into my bedroom and saw piles upon piles of books without a home LOL. told her i didnt have room in my shelves, and eventually ill weed through and give away what i know im not going to read and just got by impulse)! my mom didnt complain once about the state of the place, so i guess i did a pretty decent job as far as cleaning goes ;) even though i didnt get down and scrub...i did vaccum & dust last week, so my apartment hasnt had a chance to really get too dirty recently.

we went to a different local diner than where we usually go, because the line was literally about ten feet from the door. yikes! sundays are bad enough to go out to eat, but then throw in the Mother's Day thing and it's a nightmare. the place we ended up in had a bit of a wait--about a half hour, but the food was good. had eggs, scrapple, homefries & toast--yum! and i ate most of it, too.

my mom liked her gifts--she opened them in my stepbrother's apartment after eating breakfast.

it was intereseting, though--i subtly brought up the fact that id started my novel, and mom started giving me details about my aunts/uncles personalities and such. some i wouldnt have expected from how they act now--so i might have to do some tweaking. i dont want to get into the details about the Uncle who it's primarily based on, but i have a feeling she might already know.

stepbrother's girlfriend seemed nice, but they weren't nearly as "lovey dovey" as T & I tend to be when we're together. no hand holding (not that im hugely into it; my hand tends to go numb after a time), no real cuddling etc--oh well.

i have a while to relax at home before going to my dad's for dinner; he said he'd call when he came to pick me up. probably wont be until at least 5/5:30.

im so mad, though--my pizza went bad again >_< lately i haven't had much luck leaving pizza's out on the stove--i usually keep them in the box until about Sunday because normally i eat the leftovers for lunch & such. however, my schedule has been a lot different on weekends than it used to (hence boyfriend), so im not always around to eat the pizza. i should start putting it in the fridge and just deal because it's a waste of money otherwise. :*(

oh well.

otherwise, it's been a nice morning--i love going out to breakfast, and dont do it all that often. yay!

**minor update**

ahhhh...just took a nap from 1:30-3:30...that's why i like having Sundays to myself. i wish i was free for the rest of the day, so i could just pass out and do absolutely nothing. luckily i dont have to be out again until 5 (called my dad and confirmed when i would be heading over there so i had an idea of when to be ready), so i can relax for another hour and a half lol.

had ice cream for a snack--i swear, those drumsticks are just--i cant help myself when it comes to them. XD however, sometimes i cut myself on the cone...i did it again today :-P they're nice because it's not a lot of ice cream...about 3 inches worth. :) yum!

not sure what we're having for dinner tonight to be honest...im sure it'll be good, though. however, we're supposed to have a bit of a crowd over there tonight--stepmom's parents are coming as well as her brother and his wife. that's one reason im not too crazy about heading there...if it was just my dad and stepmom i wouldnt mind so much. (not a huge fan of her family to be honest...there's just something that doesn't quite fit right, and i do try to get along but i cant help it.)

oh well.
