Friday yet?

Woke up in a much better mood this morning, because I actually got a decent amount of sleep last night. had to make sure Tim was up in time for his interview, so I set the alarm for when he normally gets himself ready as if he were working.

was tempted to get gas this morning because im getting below a 1/2 tank (not far below but to the uncomfortable point), and figured id rather do it on the way home or on a day when sides of the street don't matter for parking.

had a bit more trouble finding parking this morning...i HATE parking on Mondays and Tuesdays. again, had to do a few attempts before i could get into my spot, but at least I found one that was relatively close.

got into the office, and realized I was closer to the end of "The Host" than I thought--im glad i decided at the last minute to get another book from the "library" in our apt before leaving. Altogether, it was pretty good--once i got past the first few chapters. again, I don't know how to classify this as an adult novel...it's not exceptionally graphic; there are some sexual references, but nothing too disgusting. i guess the author figured she'd be safe rather than sorry? *shrugs* started reading "The Wedding", by Nicholas Sparks, which is the sequel to "The Notebook" (one of my favs :)) definitely a different genre entirely.

my supervisor wasn't officially in today; she only stopped by around 12 and hung out for a bit.

turns out there was supposed to be a winter storm coming through the area this afternoon, and as usual, Brenda freaked out and planned on leaving at noon. however, noon passed by and she was still there--she's been getting under my skin a bit lately. im not sure why; she's never directly nasty as Beth had been in the old building, but she's kind of snide when she answers any questions. she flipped out on me when I double checked with her the other day about who was taking clients last week. ever since ive been kind of irritated by her--she always seems so full of herself. Beth and I thankfully aren't bitchy towards each other anymore, but what annoys me is this huge clique-like attitude she carries. like if you're not part of her "inner circle", you just aren't cool enough. not that i care, of course.

sorry--kind of in a weird mood because my time of the month is approaching w/in the next week or 2, and im starting to get that PMS feel.

thankfully all we got weather-wise today was rain and a tiny bit of sleet around lunchtime. i wasn't worried about driving in bad weather; i survived the first snow of the season, so i figured i could handle this. however, if it gets worse overnight I may wind up getting a ride into the office from Tim, so I odn't have to worry. :)

feels kind of blah again tonight--stomach's been acting up over the past day or so, and probably because im anticipating this weekend with the whole family brunch.

the drive home wasn't *too* bad--it was raining, but my windshield is SO dirty and in desparate need of a wash. figures--the half of the windshield i DIDN'T use while driving was perfectly fine, but the half directly in front of me, was really dirty. ugh.

got home; turns out the interview Tim had was extremely casual, and as i said was with an employment agency. they told him accounting jobs are getting very strict with their hiring process, so he might have trouble finding something like that at the moment. the job the agency guy was recommending was for $40 grand a year, which is still $3000 more than Tim was making @ the other company. he wants at least $42,000, but obviously will take what he can get if that's the case.

I'm in a really weird whiny mood tonight--I hate when I get like this. probably because we don't have to go anywhere; and because my stomach's off, I just want to have some scrambled eggs and toast for dinner. blech.

went to Rite-Aid on break today w/ the intention of searching for one of those recycleable lunch bags. they don't sell them, though...only in the summer. (wtf?) ill have to take a trip to Wal-Mart one of these days and get it...beh. the lunchmeat I bought last night wasn't that good--they made it too thick and tough, so ill probably go with tuna or pbutter & jelly until i go back to the store. ick.
